Gabriella Giubilaro
began practicing yoga in 1973 in Florence with Dona Holleman. She has been to India many times to study directly with B.K.S. Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar and Prashant Iyengar. She founded and directs the Centro Iyengar Yoga of Florence.. She teaches workshops in worldwide. She graduated in Physics from the University of Florence and has a passion for classical music.

Gianni Corbo
began practicing yoga in 1977. After a preparatory course with Dona Holleman, he began teaching yoga in Florence, Pistoia, Poggio a Caiano, Prato and Signa. In 1989 he was on of the seven founding members of the Association Light on Yoga Italy and in 1992 received his teaching certification from B.K.S. Iyengar. Gianni is a certified Interpreter/Translator from the Interpreting School of Florence and graduated in Arts from the University of Florence. He loves Homer and Dante, and vacillates between Plato and Nietzsche.

Pasquale Equizi
began studying Iyengar yoga in 1978 with Gabriella Giubilaro, Dona Holleman and with B.K.S. Iyengar and Geeta Iyengar at the Ramamani Iyengar Institute of Pune in India. He has been teaching in Florence since 1986. He is a founding member of the Association Light on Yoga Italy. Passionate of mountains in all their manifestations, he studied to be an Alpine (Mountain) Guide and in 1986 he received a license as a Master Mountaineer Guide. He married the discipline of yoga with his passion for the mountains.

Cecilia Faini
began practicing yoga in 1987 with Emilia Pagani and has continued her practice with Gabriela Corsico Piccolini and Gabriella Giubilaro. She has been teaching since 2002 and in 2004 she received her certificate as an Iyengar Yoga teacher. She frequents workshops and seminars given by Italian and foreign teachers. In 2005 she went to India to the Iyengar Institute. She now teaches in Florence and Bagno a Ripoli. She loves nature and trekking.

David Meloni
is student of Gabriella Giubilaro since 1997 and since 1999 he participated in workshops with Emilia Pagani, Patricia Walden, John Schumacher, Mary Dunn, Stephanie Quirk and Bobbie Fultz.He is a certified Iyengar teacher. In 1999 he initiated Iyengar Yoga in Sardenia. Since 2003 he returns regularlyto Pune, India to study with the Iyengar family. He now lives in Florence where he teaches in Florence, Montevarchi, Scandicci and Cagliari. David offers private and group lessons in Florence. He loves and continues to study all aspects of Yoga.

Filippo Nannucci
Unites his passion for Yoga with hi studies in Kinesiology at the University of Florence. He lives and works in Florence where he practices and studies Iyengar Yoga with Gabriella Giubilaro and frequents regularly course and seminars with various italian and foreign teachers. He went to Puna, India in 2004 to study at the Institute of B.K.S. Iyengar, Gita Iyengar and Prashant Iyengar.

Barbara Scudellari
originally from Lugo di Romagna, lives and works in Florence where she began practicing yoga with Gabriella Giubilaro. She has attended seminars and courses held by B.K.S. Iyengar and his daughter Geeta and by Mira Mehta. She is certified by the Association Light on Yoga Italy to teach Iyengar Yoga. She is passionate about literature and the French language. She teaches in and around Florence.

Michelle (Mims) Walbridge
Began her practice of yoga in 1983 in New York City. In 1993, after a 15 year career in magazine publications, she transferred from N.Y.C. to Florence, Italy where she began her study of “Iyengar Yoga” with Gabriella Giubilaro in 1995. From 1999-2002 she enrolled in a Teachers Training program with Gabriella, Emilia Pagani, and Gabriela Corsico Piccolini. In 2003 she received her certificate. She has participated in workshops with Patricia Walden, Mary Dunn, Bobbie Fultz and Stephanie Quirk. She now teaches in Florence at the Iyengar center and also in the area of Porta Romana.
