GENIUS IN ACTION
by Patricia Walden
Nothing could have prepared me for B.K.S. Iyengar. With his love of yoga, he was the prince of passion and the king of charisma. INTERVIEW TO GABRIELLA GIUBILARO IN MOSCOW
Moscow, February 2006
[Q.] You started practicing when you were 23 years old. You've been practicing for 30 years. Would you have come to Russia as a physics teacher if you had not become a yoga teacher?
[A.] I think if I weren't a yoga teacher I would come here as a tourist. I was always interested in and curious about the country. When I got an opportunity to come here I was very excited. But now I prefer to travel to teach not to visit. Nevertheless I would go to Russia and Moscow if I were not a yoga teacher.
